Nightmarer aanbidt dissonante death metal op eerste single Skinner

Stukje extreme, en zeker ook experimentele death metal voor uwe bakkes. Onheilspellend, aanzwellend tot alsmaar brutere proporties, hevig gruntwerk, batterijvuur vanaf de drumkit, maar ook dissonant en met de nodige breaks, is getekend: Nightmarer. De missie: ‘Total dissonance worship!’ Skinner staat op het aanstaande debuutalbum ‘Cacophony of Terror’, dat 23 maart uitkomt bij Season Of Mist en via deze link al te bestellen is. De single betreft het eerste geluid van die plaat.

Nightmarer bracht eerder (mei 2016) al de Chasm EP uit, die je onderaan dit artikel vindt. De groep uit New York, Tampa en Berlijn bestaat uit drie veteranen uit de scene: vocalist John Collet (Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky/ex-Gigan), gitarist Simon Hawemann (voorheen War From A Harlots Mouth) en de drummer van The Ocean, Paul Seide (ook ex-War From A Harlots Mouth).

Nightmarer reageert:
“Our premiere track, ‘Skinner’ is the first song that we wrote for this album and it offers a mere glimpse into the abyss which is ‘Cacophony of Terror’. This record tells a story of paranoia and self-destruction with no light at the end of the tunnel. ‘Skinner’ weighs heavy in bleak hopelessness, but it’s only a prelude of things far worse to come…”
