Storm Benjamin mocht afgelopen donderdag de pret niet drukken: liefhebbers van indie, post-punk en garage trokken massaal naar Left of the Dial, een van de tofste festivals van Rotterdam. Niet zo gek ook: deze gestoorde weekender zou net zo goed FOMO kunnen heten in plaats van LOTD. Met talloze podia en meer dan 120 bands voor een uiterst voordelige prijs kijk je de ogen uit. Gelukkig staan de meeste acts er twee, drie of zelfs vier keer. En dan is er ook nog eens de (deels gratis) randprogrammering, waarbij diverse bands een boot, een bus en meer onveilig maken. Sabrine Baakman was erbij, en schoot hieronder o.a. The Empty Threats, PISS, Le Savy Fav en Bruise Control. Wees maar snel trouwens: de editie van volgend jaar is al over de helft van hun tickets heen, dus die scoor je als de wiedeweerga hier.
